Critical Alert Issue Identified: ProfileUnity FlexDisk and vSphere 6.5

Liquidware Labs has found a major change in how vSphere 6.5 handles encrypted communication for VMDK management.

At this time if you upgrade your vSphere environment to 6.5, you will not be able to create any new ProfileDisk’s or FlexApp’s that are based on VMDK that FlexDisk leverages. At this time, there is NO workaround but rolling back to an older version of vSphere. This problem is affecting all 3rd party eco system products that manage VMDK’s including backup software. Liquidware Labs will support this new method of encrypted communication for VMDK management due out Aug 1st 2017.
