Problem:

Slow logoff when using FlexApp DIA-VHD

 

Symptoms:

User logs off and it takes a long time for processes to finally clear. 

 

Requirements:

 

 

Possible Resolution(s):

  1. Download new Client.net files from here: New 6.5.9 Client.Net tools
  2. Copy this new client.net.zip to Netlogon or share where client tools reside.  Make copy of existing client.net.zip first before overwriting
  3. Re-Run LwL.ProfileUnity.Client.Startup.exe on the parent image and or recompose the pool to verify new files make it down to the desktop.

Persistent machines running via GPO 

  1. Download new Client.net files from here: New 6.5.9 Client.Net tools
  2. Copy this new client.net.zip to Netlogon or share where client tools reside.  Make copy of existing client.net.zip first before overwriting
  3. Navigate to Netlogon\ProfileUnity or client tools directory and find file LwL.ProfileUnity.Client.Startup.exe.config
  4. Edit Section - Example
  5. <setting name="ClientDotNetVersion" serializeAs="String">
    <value>6.5.6225-7963a32</value>
  6. Tick the value up to force a re-run of the client tools 
  7. <setting name="ClientDotNetVersion" serializeAs="String">
    <value>6.5.6226-7963a32</value>

This should force the client tools to update the next time the machine is rebooting and startup runs as specified in GPO. 

 

This issue will be addressed in a future upcoming release.
