After logging in you receive a notification telling you that you have been logged on with a temporary profile.


After a user logs into their desktop the expected profile does not load.

Windows event viewer shows: Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.

The %userprofile% directory is named Temp or a variation of Temp.xxxx.

Possible Resolution(s): 

There may be a conflict in the profile path. If you are using ProfileDisks, clear any entries in the profile path in the user's AD account.
