Right after ProfileUnity completes the logon splash-screen processes the lwl_userapp_trigger.exe and lwl_userapp_trigger64.exe processes are hanging and it prevents explorer from running.
The reason for the Client.exe certificate is likely expired.
To verify on the end-user VM check C:\Program Files\ProfileUnity\client.exe Properties and view "Digita Signatures"
Please update to the latest ProfileUnity version to makes sure you run an updated version of the client which has an updated certificate.
