GPO Redirected "My Documents" folder is deleted when PU folder redirection is enabled

Problem: We turned on Profile Unity folder redirection and users lost their redirected by GPO "My Documents" folder and documents.

Symptoms: During logon folders were deleted.

The settings for Profile Unity were:
Summary/Report View:
Also the GPO settings which were in effect:
"Move the contents of My Documents to the new location"

Possible Resolution(s):

In this scenario PU only modifies a registry key "Personal" found here:

HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders

Because "File Transfer Rule" was set to "No Change"

Profile unity did not deleted "My Documents" folder it just redirected to an empty location.

This looks incompatibility between folder redirection forced from both GPO and Profile Unity.

We suggest to use GPO or Profile Unity and not have 2 conflicting policies trying to accomplish same thing.

Please disable PU folder redirection or remove "My Documents" folder redirection from winning GPO.
