Problem:

I would like ProfileUnity's splash screen not to display during user's logon. Can it be turned off?

Symptoms:

The ProfileUnity splash screen on desktops is helpful in that it displays which configurations are being run and assists in troubleshooting logon and logoff processes executed by ProfileUnity. After a ProfileUnity configuration has been refined it may be desired to turn off the splash screen and allow ProfileUnity to run silently.

Possible Resolution(s):

Steps on how to enable ProfileUnity to run Silent (i.e. no splash screen) on user desktops

Step 1. Edit the ProfileUnity GP object in Group Policy Management on the Domain Controller:

Step 2. Navigate to the "Classic Administrative Templates/Liquidware Labs/ProfileUnity" area under User Configuration Policies:

Step 3. Edit the Silent Policy Setting:

Note: Depending on your environment it may take from few seconds to few min for this GPO to propagate.  "GPUDATE" with restart/recompose of your VDI pool might be required.
