User Environment - Windows could not load the user's profile... - DETAIL Access denied

The Windows XP user(s) can log in to the system however they are prompted with an error message: 

"Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system."  "DETAIL - Access is denied"



During logon users notice the following error. The logon process does not fail and the users can use their Windows profiles normally.




Possible Resolution(s):

Windows XP users are presented with the above error because Windows XP does not support Local Application Data redirection.

This is a system (XP) limitation, and it is not recommended to redirect Local Application Data in XP.

Local AppData cannot be redirected on XP; however, it is possible to use portability. (Usually for migration to windows 7)

It is not recommended to use Portability for all files in the Local AppData folder because the folder is large in size (with exception of migration). 

If you decide to use portability, it is better to pick and choose specific files that you need and save only those.
