Problem:

ProfileUnity does not correctly save and restore changes session to session for the preferred language change made by user.  For instance switching from English to German

Symptoms:

When switching from one to another language, Windows will save the users selected Display Language in PreferredUILanguagesPending registry section because Windows needs to do something which requires the user to logoff then on again to correct institute the change.

At the next logon this value should be in the PreferredUILanguages section of registry. This value lives in HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop which is part or the Portability Rule 'Windows Appearance'

Possible Resolution(s):

This has been found to be a limitation.  ProfileUnity will capture the change made by user which modifies the registry (HKCU\Control Panel\Desktop) , then record it in the portability archive.  This can be verified by extracting the archive and viewing registry contents.

During login ProfileUnity replays this key as it was saved at logoff in same order.  Windows does not affect the change stored in registry because windows needs the keys to exist sooner in the chain loader process.

This is something that may be solved in future release
