Unable to log in to the desktop.
Error: 'The user profile service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded.'
Right after logging in to the desktop the following message shows up:
Also, the windows logs can show the following message (after you log in with an admin or some different user, or access the event logs remotely):
This is a Windows issue. The user may have a corrupt profile. See the following two articles for some suggestions on how to deal with the user's profile:

The second solution listed in that article (Option Two - To Delete the User Account and Create a New User Account) described in that article proved to be effective in most cases.
Some customers were able to fix this only by:
1) Choosing a different master image.
2) Using earlier snapshot.
