After logon users are presented with a warning  " Unable to Perform Registry Cleanup ! "

It is also possible to get an error in the Event Viewer.

"Unable to Set Permissions on Temp Folder"

Possible Resolution(s):

"Unable to Perform Registry Cleanup !" can occur when the user runs Profile Unity on top of itself.

This problem has been observed in environments that either have the Profile Unity client installed in the base image, or the Profile unity Client is installed on persistent desktops.

This issue can occur if there is a double entry in the Winlogon registry key.

Run regedit in the base or on a persistent Machine and look in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

The "userinit" value should contain "C:\Program Files\ProfileUnity\userinit.exe",

 IMPORTANT NOTE:  There might be other entries in the userinit that are not related to the Profile Unity product such as VMware View userinit –These should remain.
