FlexApp UIA/DIA shortcuts fail after MS KB3039066 installed on systems running ProfileUnity

Problem:

After installation of Microsoft Security Update KB3039066 FlexApp DIA/UIA playback present shortcuts for application as white and non-functioning.

 

Resolution:

Liquidware Labs has released a patch for the ProfileUnity client to address this issue.

 

1. Download the patch available here

2. Extract the files to your netlogon location \\domain\netlogon\ProfileUnity in most cases.

 

3. As the machines restart, the should install the client automatically based on the startup config in GPO

 

4. If ProfileUnity is installed on the base image, update the client in the base image following this KB: https://liquidwarelabs.zendesk.com/entries/24295056-Startup-vbs-fails-to-install-ProfileUnity

 

Note:  On initial capture, UIA Desktop shortcuts will still not display correctly.  After capture, a user must logoff and back in for the Desktop shortcut to be corrected.
