Problem:

How do I run published apps like Act!.exe to be elevated.

Symptoms:

n/a

Possible Resolution(s):

You can elevate Act but adding this to an elevation rule

Example:

Step 1.

In your published app console , in this case or example Citrix Studio

1. Path to exe = "C:\program files\profileunity\FlexApp\lwl_userapp_trigger64.exe"

2.  Command Line Arguments = "c:\program files (x86)\Act\Act For Windows\Act!.exe" /elevate

or "Full path to app.exe" /elevate

Step 2

Create a elevation rule based on the hash of the exe you want to elevate.  You can get that here:

http://onlinemd5.com/  to grab the SHA-1 hash

Save the rule and re-upload ini your your netlogon or share where ini path is as stated in your GPO for ProfileUnity.

Note: If the machine is terminal server. Make sure that the "Administrator" is not logged in concurrently while trying to elevate the "Act!.exe" process. The elevation will fail.
