Problem:

No ProfileUnity splash screen at logon. ProfileUnity does not apply any settings at logon

 

Symptoms:

ProfileUnity installs during logon on the client, but there is no ProfileUnity splash screen. No settings get restored.

Another symptom is a lack of the following registry entry.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ProfileUnity (In 5.7 and older)

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Liquidware\ProfileUnity (6.0 and newer)

 

 

Possible Resolution(s):

Most common solution to this problem is to verify the following : 

  1. The INI file path in the GPO's Profile Unity  Administrative tools is correct.
  2. The ProfileUnity Administrative Tools are installed and enabled in GP.
  3. The INI file is correct. It is not necessary to open the INI file, however, it is a good practice to re-download the INI file in such cases as the one described in this KB article. It appears that in several cases replacing an INI file with a freshly downloaded INI configuration has fixed this problem.
