Bad document formatting while printing after upgrading to ProfileUnity 6.5

After upgrading from previous versions of ProfileUnity to 6.5+, users report bad document formatting such as printing going off the page.

This is an extremely rare issue involving the Printer Server Cache rule, which caches users' existing printer connection information so that that information does not need to be collected again at next login.

This can be resolved by changing the UID on the Printer Server Cache rule, allowing that file to be recreated on the user's next login.

1. Click Configuration Management on the left. Open your configuration and click 'Portability Settings'

2. Scroll down to the 'Printer Server Cache - 6.0' rule and click the edit button.

3. Click Advanced.

4. Change the UID slightly by adding a letter or change the random string entirely. Make sure you do not change the UID to accidentally match one of the other printer rules.

5. Save the configuration, upload to the \\domain\NETLOGON\ProfileUnity folder.

The next time the users log out, a new Printer Server Cache Portability archive will be created for the users. Upon next login, they should have no further issues.
